She says they all fought with their last cent to ensure that Gwala is cancer-free. Gwala lost the battle last week and succumbed to colon cancer.
Mkhahewana Mabusela has delivered the dedication on behalf of MaKhumalo and her daughters.
“Having to pen this final letter to you my love, it’s the hardest thing I ever had to do. My love you gave me a beautiful feeling of being deeply understood and completely and utterly loved and I will carry that with me always.”
“Our second year of love and bliss, cancer disrupted and rocked our world to its very core. But you reassured me that you were gearing up for a fight and Xolani my love, you waved the biggest fight of your life.”
Rest In Peace Mphephethwa… Our thoughts are with your family, friends and all who loved you at this difficult hour as you are sent to your final and resting place. #RIPXolaniGwala pic.twitter.com/izp4fKKqsz

As we remember you, the love of my life, today – we will only lay you to rest, your spirit, soul and amazing ability to give all of you is still with us. My beloved Xolani, I wish you peace and comfort after a courageous battle with cancer. Your legacy as a talk radio and cancer awareness legend is forever cemented in the history of our country, the continent and the world at large.”
